March for Gaza May 2025

I hadn’t traveled this protest route before: from Embankment, over Westminster Bridge, round the Hayward Gallery, over Waterloo Bridge, down the Strand to Trafalgar Square and then down Whitehall. This was also the first time I witnessed a fairly sizable pro-Israeli at the Aldwych. Of all the emotions on display at all of the protests I’ve ever been on in support of the Palestinians, never have a seen and heard such sardonic tones and triumphalism. It was utterly bizarre.
